SGrabarczuk (WMF), the citation containers on Vikipeedia have become almost non-existent now, please check the article about Kitty Hart-Moxon (I created in the summer of '19). One could only see a vertical gray line and a centered text. That's it, nothing else! However this is the only bottleneck I have personally discovered so far. Hey @Le Boréalien. I think this is because Tsitaat uses toccolours, a class related to the styling of the table of contents. I think the problem you've noticed is documented here: T314254. Eventhough, would it be possible to have the citation containers a little bit grayer? Would it also be possible to add border lines around the citation containers, without fading into background? Just for the purpose of readers...
