Ta on Leideni Ülikooli keeleteaduse emeriitprofessor. Teda nimetatakse konstruktsioonimorfoloogia rajajaks.[1][2][3][4][5]
Karjäär muuda
Booij on õpetanud Vrije Universiteit Amsterdamis ja Amsterdami Ülikoolis. Alates 1997 on ta Hollandi rahvusliku teadusagentuuri humanitaaria valdkonna liige. 2005–2007 oli ta Leideni Ülikooli kunstide valdkonna dekaan.[6]
