Budgie oli Walesi rokkansambel, mis tuli kokku Cardiffis 1967. aastal. Ansambli debüütalbum ilmus 1971. aastal.

Ansambli algne nimi oli Hills Contemporary Grass, kuid 1968. aastal muudeti see Budgieks.

Budgie muusika on inspireerinud mitmeid heavy metal-i ansambleid, nt Metallicat ja Iron Maidenit. Metallica on teinud kaveri Budgie lugudest "Crash Course In Brain Surgery" ja "Breadfan".

1982. aastal andis ansambel ühena esimestest lääne heavy metal-i ansmablitest Poolas kontserdi.

2010. aastal lõpetas ansambel tegevuse.
