Ta on lõpetanud [[2008]]. aastal [[Eesti Kunstiakadeemia]] skulptuuri magistriõppe.

2019 Karlson was awarded the Artist’s Salary by the Ministry of Culture of Estonia, a 3-year long grant supporting artists at their creative peak.
2015 she received the [[Köler Prize|Köler Prize]] Public’s Choice award.
2007 an honourable mention for Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture by the International Sculpture Center, USA
2006 Karlson received the Young Artist Award from The Estonia Academy of Arts
