Peamiseks erinevuseks Pebble'i originaalnutikellast on värviline ekraan. Lisaks on Pebble Time'ile lisatud ka mikrofon ja uuendatud laadimiskaablit. Pebble Time kasutab uuendatud versiooni Pebble OS operatsioonisüsteemist. <ref name="0k7Ka" />
 
Pebble Time kuulutati välja 2015. aasta alguses. Esialgu sai Pebble Time'i toetada [[Kickstarter]]is, kus see kogus esimese 49 minutiga miljon dollarit. Pebble Time Steel on Pebble Time'i metallist versioon. Lisaks metallist korpusele on Pebble Time Steelil suurem aku, Pebble Time Steel töötab ühe laadimisega umbes 10 päeva. <ref name="aqVqS" />
Pebble Time Steeli korpus ja sihverplaadi ümbrus on tehtud Marine grade roostevabast terasest, millel on matt viimistlus, mis on loodud kasutades [[PVD]] meetodit. Pebble Time Steelil on Itaalia nahast rihm, eraldi on võimalik juurde osta roostevabast terasest rihm.
