Arutelu:Farsi

Viimase kommentaari postitas Janggun Dungan 6 aasta eest.

Adeliine, en:Farsi --> " Persian language". en:Farsi (disambiguation) ütleb: "Farsi primarily refers to the Persian language." Mina et=0. --Janggun Dungan (arutelu) 15. november 2017, kell 11:24 (EET)Vasta
Olen rajanud: Farsi (täpsustus). Ok? --Janggun Dungan (arutelu) 15. november 2017, kell 11:35 (EET)Vasta
In English "Farsi" can easily mean "Farsi language". But in Estonian "Farsi" is not commonly used for "Farsi keel". It cannot be the primary meaning. Adeliine 15. november 2017, kell 13:25 (EET)Vasta
Õige märkus. 2001:7D0:87CA:9180:5CF5:C21B:6592:F86 15. november 2017, kell 15:26 (EET)Vasta
Adeliine,, 2001:7D0:87CA:9180:5CF5:C21B:6592:F86, many thanks for your explanation. I see Kasutaja:Metsavend has already corrected my mistake. But his addition is not correct. Farsi consists of three languages: Western Farsi (Persian) and Eastern Farsi (Dari and Tajik). In other words, the Tajik language is Farsi, too. --Janggun Dungan (arutelu) 15. november 2017, kell 16:02 (EET)Vasta
This is debatable. In Estonian, we do not call Tajik farsi. Tajik and Dari are considered separate languages. We follow this database: https://www.eki.ee/knab/p_lg_et.htm [1]. --Metsavend 15. november 2017, kell 16:14 (EET)
Metsavend, debatable? To make it more precise I have to say that Farsi (=Persian) has two variants: Western Farsi (or en:Iranian Persian) and Eastern Farsi which, in turn, comprises two languages (Dari and Tajik). It is a matter of common observation that Tajik, Dari and Persian are all varieties of Persian (=Farsi). As an example, take: en:William O. Beeman. "PERSIAN, DARI AND TAJIK IN CENTRAL ASIA" Of course, these three languages are further divided into their various dialects. --Janggun Dungan (arutelu) 15. november 2017, kell 17:47 (EET)Vasta
OK, to make it clear: it is not relevant, how do you call these languages in English. farsi is not even an Estonian term. Estonian term is pärsia. And to avoid discussions like this, we use data in Linguae database. --Metsavend 15. november 2017, kell 19:47 (EET)
Naase leheküljele "Farsi".
